Yes, we have a company history spanning more than 20 years in the Greater Chicago area. Our Owner Kevin Manning has lived and breathed landscaping since his teens, earning a horticulture degree from the University of Illinois before starting the company in 1996.

With nearly 18 years at KD Landscape, Stephanie Pardy has built a career rooted in office operations, leadership, and strategic growth. As a Leadership Team member for the past 3 years, she plays a key role in shaping the company’s internal development and culture. KD Landscape specializes in commercial landscaping across the Greater Chicago area and is guided by core values of compassion, humility, and accountability—values Stephanie lives out daily.

Stephanie’s future goals include continuing to streamline and elevate internal office systems for greater efficiency, while also enhancing communication and coordination between construction teams and leadership. She is committed to building strong processes that support both people and performance.

Outside of work, she’s passionate about home design, enjoys traveling, and actively volunteers at her church—reflecting her dedication to creativity, community, and continuous growth.

Phil has been with KD Landscape for one year and is passionate about his clients and his team. Phil’s hobbies include spending time with his family camping, fishing, and coaching his two boys in football.

Adam is a seasoned landscape professional with over 21 years of hands-on and leadership experience in the green industry. Based in Illinois, Adam has built a diverse and accomplished career, holding key roles that span the full spectrum of landscape operations — from crew member and crew leader to production manager, account manager, and sales manager.

Throughout his career, Adam has developed a deep understanding of both the technical and client-facing sides of landscaping. His early years in the field shaped a strong work ethic and eye for detail, while his progression into leadership and management roles has honed his skills in team development, operational efficiency, customer relationship management, and strategic sales.

Adam’s comprehensive knowledge of the industry and commitment to quality have made him a trusted leader and valuable asset in every organization he’s been a part of. He continues to bring passion, integrity, and a results-driven mindset to every project and partnership.

Valerie Smith has been a key part of KD Landscape for the past three years, serving as Financial Controller and a trusted member of the Leadership Team. With a strong background in financial management and business operations, Valerie brings clarity, precision, and strategic insight to the company’s financial health and long-term planning.

Prior to joining KD, Valerie worked as an Office Manager for a home design-build firm, where she developed a deep appreciation for design and structure— kills that continue to inform her work today.

Valerie is passionate about nature and finds peace near the water, whether boating, relaxing lakeside, or exploring the outdoors. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her five grandchildren, creating cherished memories and embracing every moment with them. Looking ahead, Valerie is committed to helping KD Landscape strengthen its financial systems, support sustainable growth, and build a resilient foundation for the future. She’s excited to continue contributing to a company that values integrity, collaboration, and excellence
